Two Technique Thank You Cards

My project for today is Thank You cards for my customers. These are 3"x3" and the two techniques I used are Dauber Dynamite and Heat Embossing. I wanted to show you what you could do with the same stamp and get a very different look. By using different techniques you can extend the use of your stamps!
With this technique I used our sponge daubers to add three colors of ink to this stamp. I started on the top and bottom of the stamp adding Grey Wool. Then just above the word Thanks I added Indian Corn Blue. Then I inked the word Thanks in black. I did it outside-in because my colors get darker towards the center. I wanted to make sure my light inks stayed true. Since it takes time to add inks to a stamp this way just before I stamp it on the page I breathe on the stamp to remoisten the inks and then stamp quickly. To finish the card I used another sponge and inked the edges of the card. This makes a quick yet lovely Thank You card for anyone!
For this card I used versamark ink (a watermark, clear ink). Before it dries you add any color embossing powder and heat it using a heat gun. This gives a shiny, sparkly, raised image that gives your card a very professional finished look. Again, to finish it off I inked the edges using a sponge.

The stamp set: Thanks (A1125) $6.95

I hope you enjoyed learning these techniques. Please visit me at my online shop:
